
Coach Ricky has been with Towne Lake Wake since 2017. He currently teaches and is the Head Swim Coach at Cy-Ranch High School. He has been coaching and swimming for many years. Coach Ricky started swimming with the Wortham Whitesharks at the age of 5. As he progressed through swimming, his favorite event became the 50 Freestyle. He qualified for the state swim meet championship as a junior and senior in high school and finished 5th in the 200 Free Relay as a senior. He also still holds records as a member of the 200 and 400 Free Relays at Cy-Fair High School. Coach Ricky's favorite activity outside of swimming is playing water polo.
Tawnya Mann, a dedicated swim parent and board member for Towne Lake Wake for six years, is thrilled to embark on her new role as associate head coach on the Towne Lake coaching staff. Currently, she serves as the assistant coach for the Cypress Ranch Swim, Dive, and Water Polo teams. Prior to relocating to Texas, Tawnya amassed over two decades of coaching experience, overseeing all levels of summer league, club, and varsity swimming in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Her passion for the sport has consistently fostered a love for swimming among her athletes. Tawnya is looking forward to contributing to the development and growth of our Towne Lakw Wake swimmers.

Coach Alexa is excited to be returning for her second year on the team! She started swimming at 9 years old with the Stonegators where she was a member of the team for 10 years. Her favorite races are the 50 yard Breastroke, as well as the 200 yard Medley Relay. Alexa also swam and played waterpolo for Cypress Ranch High School, and graduated in the spring of 2023. She worked as a swim instructor with Houston Hydra Learn to Swim Program for two years, and has taught privately for 4 years. Alexa attends the University of Houston where she studies Vocal Performance at the Moores School of Music. Coach Alexa's favorite thing about summer league is seeing everyone laughing, having fun, and growing together as a team!
Coach Joey began swimming on Towne Lake Wake at the age of 10. As the varsity swim team captain for the 2024-2025 season, he was a regional finalist in both the 100 breaststroke and 100 butterfly, while also earning Academic All-State honors. Joey plans to continue his swimming career while studying software engineering at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. His favorite aspect of swimming is the discipline it instills, shaping both character and success in and out of the pool.

My name is Elsi Perez and I have been competitively swimming since I was 5 years old. I swim for Cypress Ranch High School where I’m also a Water Polo Captain. I have also been a private swim instructor for 5 months. I’m super excited to be an assistant coach for Town Lake!!
